Alex McMahon who achieved his Shodan (1st Dan) black belt in Sepyember became the second student from Kenshin SKC to gain a black belt since the club became part of BWCSK. Alex was presented with his framed NAKMAS Shodan certificate and black belt registry card at the start of class at the Kenshin dojo in Stechford on Friday 8th November 2024. Everyone at the club would like to again offer our congratulations to Alexon achieving his Shodan. Alex joined Kenshin shortly after the unfortunate passing of Sensei Franklyn Doras and was training at Kenshin under Sensei Peter Shuter who took up the reigns as chief instructor after Franklyn’s death before ewventually chosing to leave at which point the club joined BWCSK. Alex has worked tirelessly to achieve this grade attending classes at all the BWCSK dojos in preparation for his grading and after.
